Technology:

“New technology is blending of the art and science of Optometry.”
– Dr. Chung

E Optometry has long been a leader in the early adoption of new technologies that have vastly improved the ability to measure and diagnose vision. It has long been our priority to continually incorporate the newest eye care advances into our practice.

Our highly sophisticated systems are remarkable for their ability to help detect and diagnose macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic and high blood pressure changes. These are conditions can occur and develop without symptom; early detection is critical.

Customized Recommendations
with TRS

In the mid-1990s, E Optometry was the first Bay-Area Optometric practice to performdigital refractions with the Total Refraction System (TRS). Dr. Chung continue to use the latest version of this digital technology to incorporate its highly accurate “refractive” data into precise, customized recommendations.

Wavefront’s Revolution in Precision

In 2004, E Optometry pioneered another technological leap by becoming the first Bay Area Optometry practice to integrate "Wavefront Technology" data into the exam room. In a split second, this highly sophisticated system maps 1440 points of the eye’s cornea. This literally triples the precision with which Dr. Chung can measure and diagnose your vision. This remarkable system is invaluable for fitting contact lenses, spectacle prescriptions, cataract evaluations, and Wavefront-guided LASIK analysis.
